Please join us to learn more about our admissions process and our academic program. We offer virtual houses to accommodate interest. Because of our small school size and the overwhelming interest in admissions, we do not offer in-person tours. Students who apply to 7th grade will come in for an in-person interview, and accepted 7th- and 9th-grade students will be invited to tour the school in the spring.

9th Grade Admissions
To be considered for 9th grade admissions, applicants must apply through MySchools.
As published in the Directory of NYCDOE Public High Schools, 9th grade admissions to Baccalaureate School for Global Education will continue to be based on the following guidelines:
Admissions Tiered Priority
1. Priority to continuing 8th graders
2. Queens students or residents
3. New York City residents
As we are a screened school, there is no sibling priority.

Admissions Video Prompts for 2026-27 School Year
We would like to learn about you. Please make a 3 minute video where you cover two topics:
Prompt 1: Help Us Build Our Dream School
BSGE is hoping to build a new school building! We created a wishlist of 5 amazing spaces we'd love to include, but we only have enough money to build 3 of them.
Your task: Look at the list below and choose which 2 spaces you would NOT build. Explain your reasoning—why did you decide these two spaces are less important than the other three?
The Five Spaces:
Outdoor athletic field with a track and soccer field
A Robotics Lab for classes and after school clubs
A community health clinic open to the families of students, including an eye doctor, dentist, and pediatrician
A Rooftop garden with solar panels and outdoor classroom space
A performance space for music, theater, and dance
Think carefully about what would help students the most and what you think the school needs most.
Prompt 2: Show Us What Makes You Unique
Everyone has something special they know how to do or understand really well. What's yours?
Think of a skill, talent, or area of knowledge that makes you stand out. Then, break it down for us: What are the three most important parts or steps to doing this thing well? Explain why each of these three parts matters. Teach us what makes you unique!
Before you submit, make sure you:
Introduced yourself
Explained what you’re doing and why it’s important to you (details matter)
Checked that the entire video is not longer than 3 minutes
Included both parts of the video prompt
Spoke with a loud and clear voice
Filmed in a quiet area
Watched your video before you submit
