Principal’s message 

Founded in 2002 with the mission of making the prestigious International Baccalaureate education accessible to all learners, The Baccalaureate School for Global Education, affectionately known as BSGE, stands as an authorized IB World School and the first IB for All school in New York City. As an Astoria resident for many years, I'm proud to lead this exceptional community and give back to my own local community. I’m incredibly proud of our rigorous academic program and the exceptional achievements of our students and staff. But beyond the pursuit of academic excellence, what truly defines BSGE is our warm and caring environment. Our small school size fosters a close-knit feel and strong connections, not only within our walls but also with our vibrant Queens community. I believe that when students feel supported, valued, and understood, they're empowered to thrive not just intellectually, but emotionally and socially as well.

Our mission is to cultivate global citizens who are not only knowledgeable and inquisitive but also deeply caring and principled, committed to making a difference. We inspire our students to look beyond themselves and consider how they can contribute positively to their local and global communities. Through a rich array of experiences, both inside and outside the classroom, we encourage them to develop empathy, take initiative, and become reflective individuals and active agents of positive change. They learn to be open-minded and balanced, understanding the importance of intellectual, physical, and emotional well-being. Central to this global perspective, we strongly emphasize that all students become fluent in a new language and engage in international experiences, opening their minds to diverse cultures and perspectives.
