School Mission

At The Baccalaureate School for Global Education, we foster an inclusive and dynamic learning environment through the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. We empower students to develop their voice, embrace leadership, and consider multiple perspectives. Committed to academic rigor and personal growth, we nurture caring, service-oriented global citizens ready to make meaningful contributions in our diverse and interconnected world.

School Vision

Our vision at the Baccalaureate School for Global Education is to develop and implement an innovative and inclusive six-year program (grades 7-12) that encompasses both Pre-IB (grades 7-10) and the IB Diploma Program (grades 11-12). We envision a school where:

Every student

…becomes an IB Diploma candidate.

…achieves fluency in a new language.

…accesses superior college, university, and post-secondary opportunities in the United States and abroad.

We cultivate strong connections with local, national, and international communities.

We develop young leaders with a deep sense of international understanding, human rights, and responsible global citizenship.

Instructional focus

We foster a school-wide culture where all learners—students and staff—are supported in achieving challenging goals within the IB framework with a focus on global citizenship. This includes:

  1. Student-Driven Deep Learning: Students consistently engage in heavy cognitive lifting and intellectual independence through authentic, agency-driven tasks, mastering complex content from grades 7-12 for enhanced IB Diploma success.

  2. Collaborative Program Coherence: Teachers work smarter, not harder by collaboratively developing a seamless, vertically aligned 7-12 academic program that optimizes their capacity and aligns with IB standards and NYS Portrait of a Graduate.
